Freemium – Beta Phase (available during this stage only).

You can update or edit your profile at any time via the dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is CityBook?

CityBook is a digital platform that connects people, businesses, and services through localized listings, personal pages, and community interactions. It begins with a focus on the Brazilian and Lusophone community in the UK.

2. Is CityBook a social network or a classifieds site?

It’s a hybrid. CityBook starts with practical tools like classifieds, service listings, and local discovery. Over time, it will integrate social features like personal feeds, profiles, and stories — always with a local-first approach.

3. Who can join CityBook right now?

CityBook is currently open to the Brazilian and broader Lusophone community in the UK. Portuguese speakers from Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and others are welcome. As the platform grows, English-speaking businesses and users will also be included.

4. What can I post on CityBook?

You can post services, items for sale, shared housing, events, personal stories, and more. The platform is designed to make local discovery and community exchange easier.

5. Will everything work perfectly in the Beta version?

No — and that’s expected. Some features may be incomplete or temporarily deactivated as we test and refine them. Your feedback helps shape the final platform.

6. Is CityBook free to use?

Yes. Access is free during the Beta phase. We may introduce optional premium features later for professionals and businesses.

7. How is CityBook different from Facebook or Gumtree?

CityBook was created with cultural and community context in mind — especially for Brazilians and Lusophones in the UK. It prioritizes trust, relevance, and a curated experience over algorithms and ads.

8. Why does CityBook start with the Brazilian community?

Because that’s where our roots are. The platform grew out of real needs and experiences in the Brazilian community. But it’s built to welcome other cultures and users over time.

9. Is my data safe on CityBook?

Yes. We follow GDPR regulations and respect your privacy. Your data is never sold, and you can control or delete your information at any time.

10. How can I give feedback or report issues?

You can chat with us anytime using the bubble located at the bottom-right corner of any page. We also invite you to participate in surveys and provide feedback through comments when available. Additionally, every business page includes a report button (trash icon) that you can use to flag inappropriate listings. For direct contact, you may email us at info@citybook.uk. We value and appreciate every message and contribution.
